Earning a BSc in Psychology from Brunel University she then went on into the world of finance where she has worked in both New York and London’s financial districts. Destynee currently works as a Project Manager in a Leading UK bank as well as being a published Author with her first children’s book; Tobias The Dream Adventurer in Tanzania

Funke Sadare is a seasoned Senior HR Executive with over 15 years’ experience gained at operational and strategic levels in various sectors. She currently holds the position of HR Director at Global University Systems.  She is CIPD qualified, holds a B.Sc. in Business and Information Technology and MA in Human Resource Management.

Sam Owo’s passion and interest in people has led her to a profession in HR.  With over 20 years in financial organisations and expertise in Retail Banking, Learning & Development, HR generalist, Resourcing, Project Management, Communication and Colleague Engagement.  Sam is utilising her knowledge, skills, and capabilities to make a difference in her community, being an active and driven advocate for inclusion and diversity.

With a strong desire to give back, Sam leads the Breakthrough Women’s Network Mentoring Programme, helping women fulfil their potential through mentoring.  She is an Ambassador for the Women of the Future Programme, inspiring young women to dream big and go for it!  Sam is a School Governor at her local primary school and a member of the Race Advisory Board for Lloyds Banking Group.

Author of Not Just a Mum

Folakemi is a career woman with 12 years experience in financial services, wife, mom of two amazing boys aged 7 and 4 and author of book called “Not just a Mum”. 

The Not just a Mum: The practical guide to juggling motherhood book was birthed to encourage other moms who might be in similar situation like I was 6 years ago. This is still relevant today especially as several studies has shown career women has been set back in their careers due to extra childcare responsibilities and homeschooling as a result of the 2020 global pandemic.

Jessica Abhulimhen

Medical Doctor

Jessica Abhulimhen is a medical doctor working at the Texas medical center, the largest medical center in the world. She specializes in the field of internal medicine with particular interest in acutely ill hospitalized patients. She practices in a large network of hospitals in the Houston area including Memorial Hermann and world renowned cancer center, MD Anderson. She is passionate about women’s health and geriatric care with hopes of establishing free clinics tailored to these causes in her home country, Nigeria.
